My boyfriend and I booked this as it's near our home, and it did not disappoint. Funnily enough, we'd met one of the family members a few weeks prior at an art event and bought some beautiful prints. The wine was unique and paired well with the meat and cheese they gave us. It is reasonably priced and very family-oriented. I will recommend it to anyone!

About Winery and Wines

Ca' Bruzzo is a family-run vineyard founded in 1985 by Aldo Bruzzo, who returned to his roots after a life abroad, leaving behind his engineering career to embark on a new journey in winemaking. Situated in the picturesque Colli Berici Hills of Vicenza Province, halfway between Venice and Verona, the vineyard spans five grape varieties across lush hillside vineyards. Now run by Aldo's son, Alan, the Bruzzo family carries on the tradition of hands-on winemaking, ensuring each bottle reflects the unique character of their land.

At Ca' Bruzzo, we believe that the character of our wines begins in the field. Each vine is carefully hand-trimmed by the winemaker, with the goal of creating the best possible fruit each year. This hands-on care, combined with the eco-compatible farming methods and the unique microclimate of the Colli Berici Hills, results in wines that embody the distinct personality of this special terroir. Our red clay and limestone soil, paired with the windy conditions of the region, give our wines their rich, full-bodied character, with minimal use of irrigation, allowing the roots to grow deep and absorb the essence of the land.

LA SPERUGOLA (Merlot): Grown in the iron-rich red soil of a small valley, this inky purple Merlot matures slowly under the shade, offering a complex balance of red fruit, licorice, and chocolate. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, this wine has a full-bodied taste with a velvety finish. Alc. 13.5%

LA RIVA DELL' OLIVARO (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère): A deep ruby red blend with intense blackcurrant and peppery notes. Bold flavors of cranberries and spices make this wine an ideal match for rich roasts, wild game, and pasta dishes. Matured in French oak, this wine celebrates the Colli Berici’s D.O.C. appellation for Cabernet. Alc. 13.5%

AMADEO (Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Tocai Rosso): This unique blend emphasizes the contrast of red fruit flavors with the black pepper notes of Cabernet Franc. Medium-bodied with dark purple color and chocolate-covered cherry aromas, it pairs well with lamb, beef, and pasta. Aged sur-lie and in oak barrique, this wine is a true Ca' Bruzzo original. Alc. 13.5%

LA VIGNA VECIA (Tocai Rosso): Made from vines over 100 years old, this wine showcases the unique Tocai Rosso variety native to the Colli Berici. Tart currant and nut flavors dominate this intense ruby purple wine, which is matured in French oak. Perfect for pasta, antipasti, and salmon dishes. Alc. 13.5%

RIVA DEL ROCOLO (Chardonnay): A golden-hued Chardonnay with complex aromas of honey, vanilla, and pineapple. Full-bodied with a creamy texture, its flavors of butterscotch, pear, and strawberry make it ideal for pairing with seafood, white meats, and blue cheese. Aged for 15 months in French oak, this wine offers a long, warm finish. Alc. 14%

At Ca' Bruzzo, each of our wines reflects the care, passion, and tradition that have been passed down through generations. We invite you to experience the flavors of our land, cultivated with respect and dedication.
