Camperchi Società Agricola
About the Winery
Camperchi is located in Civitella in Val di Chiana, among the Tuscan hills. All the property is placed within the production area of Chianti wine PDO and, among their 140 hectares, 22 are dedicated to the vineyards. Camperchi takes this name because an ancient legend recounts that a temple dedicated to Hercules was erected on these soils. This context and the legendary references are just a few of the elements that give a peculiar energy to Camperchi wines. There is also our passion for wine and the love for the territory: these ingredients enable the estate to achieve excellent results.
About the Wines
At Camperchi Winery, the vineyards are deeply rooted in the rocky hills at altitudes between 400 and 600 meters, primarily facing south. The high planting density, with 6000-8000 plants per hectare, ensures the production of excellent grapes. Each vineyard is treated with individual care and has its own unique personality, which adds distinctive characteristics to the wines. This individuality is so important that the vineyards have been given names.
The wine cellar at Camperchi is the beating heart of the winery, where the oenologists carefully oversee the transformation of must into wine. Located on the highest part of the mount, this site is believed to have been home to a temple dedicated to Hercules, a place rich with energy. In the wine cellar, the traditional Tuscan winemaking heritage, represented by wooden conical vats, harmonizes with modern production techniques, including stainless steel tanks.
At Camperchi, sustainability is a key focus. Grapes are harvested manually, and only non-invasive production methods are used to respect the natural environment.
