About Winery and Wines

Santo Stefano del Sole is a tiny town of 1.500 people, at 600 mts above sea level, surrounded by amazing Irpinian landscapes. The winery's logo picture is an ancient coin, with the face of a local Goddess (dated IV century b.C.).  Evem the wines' names are inspired by local myths.

The project started on 2013 from Gennaro Canonico and Gerardo Santoli, both wine and this land lovers. Their philosophy is to promote in the world the typical Irpinian wine production: Fiano, Greco and Aglianico three big grapes, with a low use of copper and sulphur in the vineyard, according to the organic system; native yeasts for the fermentation crushing whole grapes and low temperature clearing.

This means respecting the grapes and making elegant, real and long lasting wines.
