Cantina Cambria, located in the scenic hills of Furnarese on the slopes of the Tindari Nebrodi mountains in Sicily, is a winery steeped in tradition yet driven by innovation. Established in a region known for its wine-growing excellence, the estate spans 35 hectares, with 20 dedicated to vineyards and 4 to olive groves for producing extra virgin olive oil. Inaugurated in 2009, Cantina Cambria has quickly become recognized as one of the most technologically advanced wineries in Sicily. The winery employs cutting-edge systems, including full-production automatic controlled winemaking, to ensure that every step of the winemaking process is meticulously managed, from hand-harvested grapes to precise temperature control. This focus on technology allows Cantina Cambria to produce wines of the highest organoleptic quality, enhancing the unique character of each grape variety grown on the estate.
Cantina Cambria is celebrated for its diverse portfolio of wines, crafted from both native Sicilian varieties and select international grapes. The estate grows red varieties like Nocera, Nero d'Avola, and Nerello Mascalese, as well as white varieties such as Catarratto Lucido, Inzolia, Grecanico, and Grillo. Small quantities of Syrah and Chardonnay, planted experimentally in the 1980s, add a global touch to their offerings. Thanks to the estate’s ideal location, with vineyards benefiting from the cooling sea winds and protection of the surrounding mountains, the grapes reach optimal ripeness, producing wines that are rich, balanced, and expressive of the region’s unique terroir. Whether it’s a robust Nero d’Avola or a refreshing Catarratto, each bottle from Cantina Cambria embodies the essence of Sicily's winemaking tradition, enhanced by modern innovation.
