CANTINA COFFELE

Coffele is a historic and pioneering winery located in the heart of Soave Classico, born from the union of two families deeply connected to the land. When Giovanna Visco, the last heir of the Visco family, married Giuseppe Coffele, she brought with her 25 hectares of vineyards in Castelcerino, one of the most prized crus of the Soave area.

In 1971, after years of reviving the vineyards, Giovanna and Giuseppe founded Azienda Agricola Coffele, embracing a legacy that dates back to the mid-1800s, when the Visco family was already producing "Bianco Soave" with their own grapes. Giuseppe, a schoolteacher and later principal, transformed his passion for wine into a life’s work—introducing innovation and surrounding himself with top experts in viticulture, while always respecting tradition. His forward-thinking vision deeply impacted both the winery and the entire Soave Denomination.

Today, the winery is led by Alberto and Chiara Coffele, who continue their father’s work with the same dedication and love for their land. Their historic headquarters, located in the center of Soave just steps from the medieval castle, includes a 17th-century chapel, a wine tasting room, a historic cellar, and a hanging garden—a peaceful oasis where guests are welcomed to experience Coffele wines in a setting rich with history and charm.

Coffele is the first certified organic producer in the Soave DOC Classico zone, proudly displaying the EU organic label on its bottles. The winery cultivates Garganega grapes, the heart of Soave, along with Valpolicella varieties and local olives, offering products that are authentically tied to the territory and reflect a deep bond with the land.
