Great Sunday evening Wine tasting

We really enjoyed the experience. The host/owner was very informative and the wine was good and very inexpensive. We will definitely do another tasting when we are in the area

DIVINO TASTING AT CORTE GIOLIARE ON LAKE GARDA

5/1/23
Not as described - there was no tour of the vineyards or observation of ecosystem and fauno/flora. There was a tour of the winery which lasted about 5 minutes and not very informative.

We left with more questions than answers....
Propose to provide the service offered on the website (as a start)

Thank you for leaving a review. We are sorry to see that your final review for your wine tasting with us is 1 out of 5. Not clear is its scale and the reason for this choice. Instead of being keyboard warriors, if you had explained your doubts during the wine tasting, we would have given you all the explanations you needed. The reviews of our guests are very valuable to understand what we can improve, but from yours we do not know what is not exactly good.
Guests' judgment should contribute to the improvement of the facilities, otherwise they will be of little use and they just serve to sabotage. I hope that you have understood the purpose of our message and have found something more and more valuable in our wine cellar, instead of making a simple judgment.
Hoping to see you again and surprise you or change your mind.

About Winery and Wines

Corte Gioliare is located in the locality of Colà di Lazise, an area that has always been favourable to the cultivation of vines, thanks mainly to its mild climate and ideal soil. In the beginning, the members of the Montresor family were farmers or sharecroppers and the grapes cultivated were delivered to the owners of the estate. Around 1970, when the agrarian laws changed, with the purchase of some land, grandfather Giuseppe Montresor also started to produce wine to sell. It was only in 1989 that Giovanni and Giacomo started marketing all their products. Since 2012 Giovanni Montresor has taken over the responsibility of the company together with his children, Luca, Mara and Sonia, offering the public a wide range of wines, honeys and oil. All the different phases, from the care of the vineyards to the vinification, are followed directly by father and son.

The company has about twenty hectares of vineyards, located mainly in the immediate vicinity of the winery, near Lake Garda. The soil of the morainic hills of the Gardesano-Veronese area, the zone of Bardolino DOC, has a particular viticultural aptitude. The mild climate, with mild winters and temperate summers, is a determining factor in the positive characterisation of the grapes and the resulting wine.
