Cantina del Castello

Cantina del Castello is a winery made up of people passionate about the territory, vineyards, and wine. The historic cellar, located within the city walls of the Castle of Soave, is the heart of the winery, which operates with respect for the traditions and customs of its wines. A guardian of the past and a treasure trove of ancient history, Cantina del Castello represents the agricultural, viticultural, and social fabric of the region, maintaining a deep respect for the environment and nature where it was founded and continues to operate today. Since its origins, the winery has also produced red wines from Valpolicella, including Amarone and Ripasso. The first bottles date back to the 1960s, and some of these are still carefully preserved in the winery’s private collection.

Cantina del Castello cultivates about 12 hectares of vineyards located in the classic Soave area, on the hills between Soave and Monteforte d'Alpone. Sustainability and biodiversity are fundamental principles, with vineyard work carried out manually, without mechanization. The vines, Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, thrive in the basaltic volcanic soils that define the unique terroir of the estate. The winery produces a range of Soave Classico wines, including sparkling, still white, and the sweet Recioto di Soave Classico, as well as Ripasso Superiore and Amarone della Valpolicella. With an annual production of around 80,000 bottles, Cantina del Castello continues to uphold its commitment to tradition, quality, and respect for the land.
