About Winery and Wines
A great passion and solid technical skills prompted Ferruccio Deiana to found a winery, finally fulfilling a long-time dream to have his own vineyards and make his own wines. His mission was to draw the attention of wine lovers to Basso Campidano and Parteolla, lands of beautiful nature and rich culture. This part of Sardinia, extending between Cagliari and the crags of Punta Serpeddì, in the rugged territory of Sarrabus-Gerrei, is celebrated for its sweet hills and fertile valleys. Since antiquity, these lands have been a lucky realm of grapevine, wheat, and olive.
The headquarters of Azienda Vitivinicola Ferruccio Deiana are located in Su Leunaxi, in the countryside of Settimo San Pietro. The vineyards lie in Su Leunaxi and in Sibiola. Their grape varieties have been selected according to the pedological characteristics of the different terrains. Special care is given to the preparation and management of the soils. The unique micro-climate, the favorable exposition, and the rolling terrains are all fundamental factors behind the excellent quality of these wines, as demonstrated by the several awards they have received through the years. A drip irrigation system provides the necessary water supply, as is typical in Sardinia. The result is outstanding. Tasting is believing!
