Cantina Fratelli Vogadori - Amarone

Winery in Valpolicella, Amarone, Valpolicella Classica

About the Winery

Fratelli Vogadori is a family-owned winery nestled in Negrar, at the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area. The vineyard is run by three brothers, Alberto, Gaetano, and Emanuele, who are the third generation of winemakers in their family. Their grandfather, who originally purchased the land from a local count, passed down his passion for viticulture. Today, the Vogadori brothers continue this tradition with a deep commitment to environmental sustainability, avoiding chemical treatments and using only natural fertilizers, as well as relying on solar energy from photovoltaic panels.

About the Wines

Fratelli Vogadori produces a variety of exceptional wines, deeply rooted in the traditions of Valpolicella. Their vineyards, located on the sun-drenched hill of Vigolo, yield top-quality grapes, perfect for crafting their renowned Amarone della Valpolicella. This wine is known for its complex structure, elegance, and deep ruby-red color with garnet highlights, making it an ideal pairing for game, grilled meats, and mature cheeses. The winery also produces other notable wines such as Recioto, Ripasso, Valpolicella, Corvina, and a range of traditional Italian whites and reds, all reflecting their respect for nature and quality.

Amarone Experience
A wonderful experience,
Emanuele of the Vogadori family explained his family's work over the years that has made this winery, in my opinion, excellent. The wines we tasted were truly divine.

Afternoon in Valpolicella
Recommended experience. Our guide Emanuele showed us their cellar and told us their story. The whole tour was accompanied by detailed explanations about everything concerning wine production plus anecdotes related to the territory and their family (who have been producing wine in those areas for generations). Also interesting is the fact that the tasting is "itinerant" (the wine samples are brought during the tour while you listen and walk through the cellar and not after). Another positive note is that they can accommodate many people, we went as a group of about twenty and not all wineries accept such large groups. Absolutely approved

Excellent
The tasting at Cantina Fratelli Vogadori in Negrar di Valpolicella is a simply exceptional experience. The atmosphere is authentic and familial: we were welcomed by the son of the eldest of the 3 brothers, who, despite being young, was able to carefully describe every stage of production, conveying the passion and hard work that lies behind a bottle of wine. The tasting of the 5 wines — from the simple "Valpolicella classico" to the finale with "Rita" — is a journey through aromas and flavors that enhance the territory. The taste of the Amarone completed the tasting excellently. Furthermore, the presentation of the hand cream and the oil was also an excellent, unexpected experience. The quality of the wines and the genuine hospitality make this winery an unmissable stop for those who love good wine and sincere experiences.

Pleasant experience
Truly special tasting.
The view is spectacular, the wines selected for the tasting are one better than the next, in particular the 3 fradei with hints of chocolate and cherry.
Emanuele, the oldest of the brothers, looked after us and told us with great passion and care about the phases of wine production, the selection and the different types of grapes used, and much more, making the experience even more authentic and pleasant.

Interesting visit
We were welcomed in a kind manner and the explanations about winemaking were very interesting. The cellar is nice without being particularly scenic. The tastings were many and abundant and the quality of the wines interesting. Little accompanying food and high prices for the wines are the negative notes.
Add a few more snacks (cheeses?) and slightly more competitive prices for the wines.

Fantastic!!!!
Welcomed like family by Emanuele. A true journey through time, into the history of Amarone through family memories. Precise and interesting explanations about the world of Amarone from grandfather's time to the present day. The wine is still made with passion, dedication, and hard work, nothing like the big wineries. Excellent wine !!!!!
An absolute must-do experience.
