About Winery and Wines
The Roberto Mazzi and sons winery, owned by the family since the beginning of the 1900s, is based in the hills of Negrar, one of the five municipalities of the classic Valpolicella zone. Around the 1960s, after completing his agricultural studies, Roberto Mazzi began bottling under the name of the Sanperetto winery, already subdividing production by vineyard name.
The eight hectares of vineyards are located in the excellent hillside positions of Calcarole, Castel, Poiega, Sanperetto and Villa. Currently the farm is run personally by his sons Stefano and Antonio with the oenological advice of their friend Paolo, who combine tradition and innovation to produce about 50,000 bottles of Valpolicella Classico and Superiore, Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella Classico and Rosso Veronese igt.
