La Cantina del Guarnaccino stands as the sole winery dedicated to vinifying Guarnaccino in its purest form, both as a red and rosé wine. Our commitment to this ancient, autochthonous variety from Chiaromonte led to its official recognition as a varietal, a feat that honors the traditions passed down by our ancestors who vinified this grape long before it was formally acknowledged.

Though Basilicata has long been celebrated as the land of Aglianico, since 2013, a new noble grape has emerged—Guarnaccino—with ambitions of becoming a noteworthy player in the region’s wine scene. Nestled within the breathtaking Tenuta Capriccio, our vineyards are surrounded by a natural oasis. With over 50 hectares of land, 7 of which are dedicated to Guarnaccino, our winery is not just a business but a celebration of heritage, nature, and passion for this unique grape.
