Cantine Del Castello Feudale Di Montegrosso D'Asti

Winery in Moscato d'Asti, Hills of Asti

About the Winery

In the quiet, spacious cellars of Castello Di Montegrosso D'Asti, a centuries-old castle, the noble DOC and DOCG wines of the region find their perfect home. Crafted through traditional yet refined winemaking methods, the wines are carefully selected and aged in oak barrels. Once they reach optimal maturity, they are bottled and stored in dedicated aging rooms.

A passion for wine has been passed down through generations of the Motta family, with documented winemaking activity dating back to 1794. Today, as in the past, we are proud to share our heritage and expertise, offering the finest expressions of Piedmontese wine.

About the Wines

We produce three types of wine: Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG and Monferrato Rosso DOC.

All the wines are carefully selected and aged in oak barrels. Once they reach optimal maturity, they are bottled and stored in dedicated aging rooms.

History and Wine
The tasting at Castello di Montegrosso d'Asti proved to be a journey not only on an enological level but also a historical one. The Motta family guided us through the areas of the castle, revealing stories and secrets, before immersing us in the world of wine and those who produce it. The tasting consisted of three different types of wine and a generous board inside a wonderful hall of the castle. This union between wine and history gave even more importance and meaning to the experience, because it is not just about wine, but also about the passion of those who have been producing it for a long time.
