About Winery and Wines

In a perfect union between innovation and tradition, Torrevento pursues a development plan always based on research and quality, for the production of a range of wines fully representative of Castel del Monte, Salento and Primitivo areas. Torrevento wines are obtained from Apulian autochthonous grape varieties such as Nero di Troia, Bombino Bianco and Nero, Aglianico, Moscato, Primitivo and Negroamaro, and are proposed as modern interpreters of ancient Apulian traditions, result of a combination of factors including favorable microclimate, nature of the territory, varietal selection, cellar technology and quality control. Territory, Man, Product: these are our values. Love and protection of the territory, certified environmental sustainability and enhancement of typical indigenous vines, are the values that shape the passionate and ethical work of man to give life to a product of excellence: the wine of Puglia.

Murge represents a heterogeneous territory which expresses itself in a plurality of landscapes and flavors coming from an uncontaminated and generous land. In the hilly area of the North, at an altitude of 300-350 meters above sea level, was born our Castel del Monte line, which takes its name from the marvelous Frederick's manor, UNESCO heritage since 1996, obtained from local grape varieties. In central Apulia, the Murgia hills slope down in the area of Gioia del Colle up to the coastal area of Taranto and Manduria. In an alternation of hills and hollows and Mediterranean vegetation, the so called "red lands" give particular value to the typical grapes of this territory with a strong viticultural vocation. Here is born our line of Primitivo wines.
