Vino, natura e allegria

About Winery and Wines
Nestled among the rolling hills of Salerno, at an elevation of approximately 150 meters above sea level, Casa di Baal offers breathtaking views of the Sele Plain to the south and the Amalfi Coast to the north. This family-owned farm has deep roots in the tradition of farming, with a history that spans over a century. Founded by Annibale and lovingly continued by his wife Anna and their children, Casa di Baal is a perfect blend of time-honored practices and youthful innovation. The name "Casa di Baal" is a tribute to Annibale, reflecting both the family's strong connection to their heritage and their forward-thinking approach to agriculture.
The symbol of the elephant in our logo pays homage to the legendary Carthaginian general Hannibal, mirroring the strength, resilience, and strategic thinking that guide our work. At Casa di Baal, we are not just preserving tradition; we are enhancing it with modern techniques and a deep respect for the land. Visitors to our estate will find a place where the past and present coexist harmoniously, offering an authentic experience that showcases the beauty and bounty of the Salernitan landscape.
At Casa di Baal, our wines are crafted with a deep respect for nature’s rhythms and a commitment to organic and biodynamic farming practices. Our philosophy centers on producing wines that are as natural as possible, truly reflecting the essence of our land and our family's dedication. We employ a range of sustainable practices, including green manure, minimal tillage, and the use of indigenous yeasts, all of which contribute to the unique character of our wines.
Our approach to winemaking involves careful attention to detail at every stage, from the meticulous pruning of vines to the manual harvest, ensuring that only the best grapes are selected. We practice rational use of sulfur dioxide, aiming to maintain the purity of the wine while preserving its natural qualities. This careful balance allows us to create wines that are a true expression of the terroir, imbued with the passion and knowledge passed down through generations.
Casa di Baal’s wines are not just products; they are an embodiment of our philosophy and our land. Each bottle tells a story of tradition, innovation, and a deep connection to the earth, offering wine lovers a taste of the authentic flavors of Salerno.
