About the Winery
Casanuova delle Cerbaie began its wine production in the early 1980s, thanks to the great passion and love for vines of a lady of German origin. In 2008 the estate was purchased by an influential New Yorker who has always been passionate about Tuscany, Montalcino and its great wines. The splendid location and the excellent wine produced proved to be a winning combination and immediately gave rise to this new and fascinating experience. Right from the start, significant investments were made and great innovative improvements were made to produce a wine of high quality and infinite elegance.
About the Wines
Located just below the town of Montalcino in the northern sector of the region, the vineyards of Casanuova delle Cerbaie are situated at an altitude of 250 to 350 meters above sea level, on land dating back to the Eocene period of the Cenozoic era, characterized by calcareous, marly, clayey and conglomerate rocks. Their predominantly southwestern exposure allows them to receive the best sunlight throughout the day. The vineyards also grow on the prestigious hill of Montosoli and continue to extend to the foot of the hill on which Montalcino stands. The nature of the soil and its enviable position makes it possible to obtain results of excellent quality, enriching the Brunello produced in this area with a particular variety of fragrances. To date, the estate has 15 hectares of land, of which about 10 are Sangiovese vineyards, 2 are olive groves, and 3 are woods and arable land.

A great experience to do with friends.
Recommendation: I would have preferred a bit more bruschetta with fresh-pressed olive oil rather than the taralli.
Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Magnificent experience
Casanuova and its location already spoke for themselves, nature, vineyards, a typical Tuscan farmhouse, on a sunny spring morning.
It was only the beginning.
We were welcomed by qualified and passionate staff who spared no effort to give us a top-quality experience; just like their wines.
During the evocative walk in the vineyard, Simone told us the story of the winery, its vines, and the land that hosts them.
We continued into the Cellar.
The aromas of the barrels and wines welcomed and embraced us throughout the description of the production process to arrive at obtaining his majesty, Brunello.
In conclusion, in the cozy room of the farmhouse, furnished with care and Tuscan tradition, we tasted (accompanied by explanations) the wines included in the tasting.
Peace, tranquility, hospitality, and passion, that is how I feel I can conclude.

A pleasant discovery
We arrived at the winery at 4 PM, where we were welcomed by Cristina. The tour through the vineyards and in the cellar was very pleasant: simple to follow even for those who are not connoisseurs and full of interesting facts.
Cristina's words, which accompanied the tasting, were precious and helpful for fully understanding these excellent wines.
Definitely an experience we feel we can recommend!
