Cascina Rainero

Winery in Monferrato

About the Winery

At Cascina Rainero, we specialize in producing Limited Edition wines that are truly one-of-a-kind, with winemaking techniques that vary each year to create unique, unrepeatable products. We see wine as an artistic expression, where the farmer, the winemaker, and the artist who designs the label each play a crucial role. This philosophy results in wines that are not only crafted with care but also visually distinctive.

About the Wines

Our lineup includes a Barbera d'Asti, fermented in concrete and aged in stainless steel; a Grignolino d'Asti, fermented in concrete and aged in acacia barrels; and a Barbera d'Asti Superiore, fermented in concrete and aged in American tonneaux. We also offer a unique Riesling R., an orange wine fermented in concrete with skin contact. Each of these wines reflects our commitment to innovation and artistry in winemaking.

The elegance of simplicity and tradition.
Our visit to Cantina Raniero (a special birthday gift!) was an experience rich in charm, flavors, and traditions. We were welcomed by Stefano Tucci, the young sommelier who carries on his grandparents' tradition with great passion, expertise, and dedication.
His wines, along with the delicious tastings of local cheeses and cured meats that enhanced the presentation, are, in our opinion, the best expression (artistic, too) of the splendid hills of Mongardino (AT).
I highly recommend paying him a visit!

Visit to the Cascina Rainero vineyard with Stefano: more than pleasant
We were alone with the owner, who took great care to show us everything there is to see in his vineyard. Although it is small in scale, this visit gives an overview of the work involved in making the wines, and a great opportunity to taste them. 4 different wines (white and red) with diverse personalities, accompanied by very fresh bread, charcuterie and appetizers in more than sufficient quantity. Our host was very pleasant, answered all our questions, a real gem, this man. We really enjoyed this visit, which was between our stays in Milan and Turin.

Wonderful!
Both the wines and the wine maker were wonderful. We so enjoyed our wine tasting at Cascina Rainer’s. We also enjoyed the cheese plate that was included in the tasting. Thanks so much and we will be back!

Wonderful Experience
My fiancé and I spent New Year's Eve in Asti and we absolutely wanted to visit a winery. We couldn't have made a better choice than Cascina Rainero. A small establishment but very well organized and above all built with passion. The tasting lasted 1.5/2 hours and was accompanied by excellent dishes and platters. The wines that were offered to us were not at all ordinary, they were distinctive and in my eyes also quite refined, accompanied by a clear explanation from Stefano, who was knowledgeable and friendly.
Highly recommended experience.
Right after the tasting we asked for a recommendation for a short walk, which took us to a viewpoint among the vineyards: wonderful and peaceful places.

An experience to repeat
It was a very pleasant experience. Welcoming atmosphere and a very kind host. It's a different kind of winery from the usual ones, Stefano's alternative spirit gave us a different perspective on tastings. Excellent and abundant food.

A unique experience
Small winery with distinctive wines, you notice the care and dedication with which the work is carried out and the passion that emerges when the wines are explained.
Wines and accompanying tastings that speak of the territory.

Excellent experience
During a vacation in Piedmont we spontaneously decided to do a wine tasting and through this site we went to Stefano at Cascina Ranieri!
An enchanting place.
It was definitely the best wine tasting we have ever done!
Stefano knows how to tell the stories about his wines in a truly engaging way.
The pairing of wine, art, and culture is truly special and very interesting!
An experience highly recommended to everyone!
Both for those who know about wines and for those who, like us, don't have a lot of experience!
