Reviews
Very interesting, nice and fruitful visit at Cellers Capafons Osso
The wine tasting was also very good and there are indeed some excellent wines coming from this winery. Francesc's pride of the brand, the history, the family and his parents is also significant.
We are also impressed by the small size of this establishment, where Francesc and his wife actually does everything themselves.
In order to fully appreciate this visit, you need to understand either castellano or catalan.

About Winery and Wines
Bodegas Capafons Ossó S.L. produces Finca wines in D.O.; Finca Mas de Masos and Finca Masia Esplanes.
Francesc Capafons and Montserrat Ossó, married in Falset, have owned vineyards and family land for five generations. The current generation is represented by his son Francesc Xavier Capafons Ossó, a viticulturist and oenologist who leads the technical management of the two wineries. The constant dedication of this winery to production and research has received significant recognition from specialized critics.
Our goal is to produce wines with a great representation of the land and a strong personality, looking for freshness, complexity, and elegance.
Finca Mas de Masos is a 60-hectare estate situated in a natural area, where the vines are planted amidst forested landscapes. The estate consists of 14 hectares planted with Garnacha del País, Garnacha Peluda, Garnatxa Blanca, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Viognier. Located within Priorat, the finca benefits from a unique microclimate, sheltered from the north winds and influenced by the humid winds of the Mediterranean Sea.
For over 20 years, the farm has fostered the growth of native aromatic plants and practiced non-cultivation, resulting in a complex aromatic contribution. Mowing these plants regenerates the soil by adding organic matter.
The land consists of Paleozoic slate, known locally as "llicorella," with a difference in altitude of over 250 meters, ranging from 350 to 600 meters. From the top of the estate, there are breathtaking views of the Priorat mountains, the Montsant Natural Park, the Falset Valley, and the coastal mountain ranges extending to the Beceite Passes, a natural park and habitat of the Iberian goat.
Finca Mas de Masos enjoys a distinctive ripening period for its grapes, with a month-long difference due to its unique microclimate and positioning.
