About Winery and Wines

Château La Fleur de Boüard was born from a passion of Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, co-owner of the famous Château Angelus, for this terroir located on the hillside facing the greatest crus of Pomerol. He was deeply convinced that the terroirs of Lalande-de-Pomerol could produce exceptional wines worthy of the greatest appellations of Bordeaux. In 1988, he acquired the 25 hectares of this vineyard, which has since been extended and now covers 29 hectares.

Nestled in the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, near the iconic Château Pétrus, lie the lands of Château La Fleur de Boüard. These lands were once owned by a passionate postman who lovingly tended to his vines.

Since 2020, the château has taken on a new dynamic with a focus on wine tourism, offering not only visits but also tailored accommodation and dining services for individuals and businesses.

The vineyard is healthy, spared from the ravages of overexploitation, and is a confidential gem. Through a rigorous approach that respects the environment and the balance of nature, the most beautiful secrets of this land are extracted. Château La Fleur de Boüard is now under the ownership of serious, discreet individuals with an unwavering passion for the estate.

The Neac plateau is predominantly clay, while the Lalande-de-Pomerol plateau is mostly gravel. Our vineyard spans 30 hectares across two plateaus, Neac and Lalande-de-Pomerol.
Our vineyard mainly grows Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (15%), and Cabernet Sauvignon. The unique characteristics of these two plateaus create a perfect balance between acidity and richness.
