About Winery and Wines

We are a run-family business winery based in Verduno , the northernmost township of Barolo area.

Diego Morra founded the winery in 2006, renovating and expanding the old family farmhouse. His family belongs to Verduno since ever but always sold the grapes to other local wineries or social cooperative. Diego started for first to put the family name on his labels.

Now the property counts 30 hectares of vineyards in the commons of Verduno , La Morra and Roddi.

We are the young generation of Verduno producers and our goal is to let express at its best our territory with a ‘good sense’ approach. Low extraction and Big barrel ageing to preserve aromaticity, freshness and drinkability. The modern way of Barolo.

We mainly produce indigenous red varieties , like Dolcetto , Barbera , Pelaverga and Nebbiolo.

Dolcetto is the easiest one and the most traditional grape of Langhe region. The vineyards are located in Verduno village and It’s aged just in stainless steel tanks. Fresh , fruity, with a typical bittering finish.

Verduna Pelaverga is our niche wine. Only produced in our village , It’s one of the smallest appellation of Italy. Only stainless steel aged , It has a medium acidity and light body . Gentle , funny and super peppery, It’s the perfect wine for your any occasion.

Barbera is the most cultivated variety of Piedmont.  It has a classic full ruby colour , high acidity and fully structured. Round , sinuous and elegant, It’s our Queen.

Nebbiolo is the King of Langhe. It’s the most widespread cultivar of the area and the main grape of Barolo. Pale garnet colour
