Fattoria Bellavista Casignano, located in the picturesque Chianti hills just outside Florence, is a family estate with deep historical roots. Established in 1960, the estate includes a 14th-century villa once home to the famous Macchiaiolo painter Giovanni Fattori, whose legacy is preserved through a collection of drawings and an oil painting of the villa. The estate spans 40 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, dedicated to producing high-quality Tuscan wines and extra virgin olive oil. Fattoria Bellavista Casignano produces a variety of distinctive wines that highlight the unique terroir of Chianti. The Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG is a bright, full-bodied Sangiovese with floral and spicy notes, aged in steel vats. Poggio Fecondo Red Tuscan IGT, a blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, offers a rich ruby color and persistent flavors of red fruit and spices. The estate also produces a Vinsanto del Chianti DOC, a sweet, amber-hued dessert wine, and a unique Sanzanobi Orange Wine, fermented with skin contact for added complexity. Each wine reflects the estate’s dedication to quality and tradition, enhanced by innovative winemaking techniques.
