About Winery and Wines
Since 1980, the Bojola-Targioni family has been running the Antiche Tenute degli Squarcialupi, nobles who settled in Castellina in Chianti in the 1200s and built the Palazzo Squarcialupi (15th century), to this day the historic home of the farm.
The property extends around the village for 200 hectares, of which 35 are vineyards, 15 olive groves and 10 are arable land.
The farm focuses on the production of organic wines of great territorial expression and also works with special winemaking techniques such as grape drying, sparkling, sulfite-free winemaking and aging in terracotta amphorae.
