FATTORIA LUCESOLE

Winery in Conero

About the Winery

Fattoria Lucesole, located on a hill in the Conero Natural Park, a stone's throw from the beaches of Portonovo and Mezzavalle, is a historic Conero company.

The Lucesole family, who have always lived in the shadow of the Conero, have tried over time to understand the unique character of the calcareous soils, the mists and the sea winds, cultivating and selecting plants that have adapted to them over time. Today with the experience acquired, the Lucesole family produces products with marked peculiarities in its approximately 6 hectares of vineyards, 250 wild cherry trees, 1400 between olive and fruit trees, a vegetable garden for the production of vegetables for internal consumption and the production of Pacasassi (sea fennel). In the cellar, the family produces and matures wines produced from our grape selections.

About the Wines

Fattoria Lucesole’s wines are crafted with a focus on quality and tradition, categorized into Classics, Reserves, Originals, Ancient Flavors, and flavored drinks, all vinified through spontaneous fermentation with minimal sulfites.

Classics:
Campofiorito: A Rosso Conero DOC made from 100% Montepulciano, with a short fermentation on the pomace, aged for 20 months in steel barrels and refined in the bottle.

Reserves:
Nympha: A Conero DOCG, made from Montepulciano, with medium fermentation on the pomace, aged 12 months in steel and 12 months in large oak barrels, and refined for at least four years in the bottle.
Airone Nero: Another Conero DOCG, with a longer fermentation on the pomace, aged for 24 months in small wooden barrels and refined for at least two years in the bottle.

Originals:
Sottovento: A Marche Rosso IGT, matured for 24 months in small glass containers or steel and refined for two years in the bottle.
Mezzaluna: A similar Marche Rosso IGT, with early ripening grapes, also matured for 24 months and refined for two years in the bottle.

Ancient Flavors:
Anfora Bianco: A Marche Bianco IGT, matured in 400-liter terracotta amphorae, and refined in the bottle.
Anfora Rosso: A Rosso Conero DOC, with long fermentation in terracotta amphorae, aged further in the amphora and then in the bottle.
Passione: A Marche Rosato IGT, fermented with lees in open steel barrels, matured in steel for six months, and refined in the bottle.

Each wine reflects the estate’s commitment to traditional methods, ensuring a unique and authentic expression of the terroir.

Lovely Experience
Me and my partner arrived and the family could not be more welcoming. The sons of the owner were learning English in school and could not be more accommodating when helping us understand things.

I can not praise the wine enough, and it was complimented by a lovely cold meats board!

The hosts were both informative and personable and made us feel instantly comfortable.

We left with 2 bottles of wine and having had a lovely experience where we made special memories. Thankyou to the family what a lovely group of people and what a lovely home.

Get a bottle to take home. As you will find out it’s lovely.

Local, authentic, and genuine experience
Very charming place and the owners are friendly and modest. The wine selection is interesting and the tasting journey is pleasant.
Highly suggested experience!
The tasting journey could be further perfected by including some pairings between the various wines, cured meats, and any other foods offered.

AMAZING and authentic experience!!
We visited Fattoria Lucesole while visiting Ancona, and it was the highlight of our time there, and even a highlight from our entire Italy trip. Here we got to explore where the grapes are grown and where the wine is made. The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable about the wine and able to teach us so much about each wine we tasted. These were some of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met and they made this experience unforgettable!! Thank you so much!!
We tasted their sweet wine at the end of our tasting and it was delicious!! I highly recommend

A very beautiful and interesting experience!
With some friends we decided to book the tasting accompanied by a platter of cured meats and cheeses with a walk through the vineyards. A wonderful place, where we enjoyed the sunset. We met Massimiliano, very knowledgeable and super helpful. He explained to us how the wines we tasted are made and between one chat and another, time flew by in excellent company. We left very enthusiastic and satisfied. Excellent place, wines, and hospitality. Thank you, Massimiliano!
