About the Winery
Cantina Francesco Cadinu was officially established in October 2015 by Francesco and his wife, Simonetta. However, the family's dedication to viticulture spans five generations, with vineyards passed down through the years. Located in Mamoiada, their 8 hectares of vineyards vary in exposure, altitude, and age, with vines ranging from 20 to over 120 years old. They follow a sustainable, environmentally respectful production philosophy, with each vineyard vinified separately using spontaneous fermentation without added yeasts.
About the Wines
Cantina Francesco Cadinu specializes in wines made from 100% Cannonau grapes, including:
Perdas Longas: A robust red, Cannonau di Sardegna DOC.
Ghirada Elisi: Another Cannonau di Sardegna DOC red.
Ghirada Fittiloghe: A Cannonau di Sardegna DOC red with distinct characteristics.
Tziu Smone: A Barbagia IGT rosé, also made from Cannonau.
Mattio: A macerated white wine, Barbagia IGT, made from 100% Granatza grapes.
Each wine reflects the unique terroir of their specific vineyard, with careful attention to detail in every bottle.

An experience to recommend to all wine lovers and beyond
On November 9th, we celebrated my husband's 50th birthday with an unforgettable experience at Cantina Cadinu. The warm welcome from Francesco and his family immediately won us over. The visit to the winery, the detailed explanation of the wines, and the tasting were a true journey into the heart of Sardinia. The children had a lot of fun with the fruit juice, while we adults were able to appreciate the quality of the wines and local products. A special thanks to the entire Cadinu family for making this birthday so special!
