HERRENHOF LAMPRECHT

About the Winery

The HERRENHOF is as unique as its Buchertberg vineyard. It all began here – around 300 years ago, when the estate was still owned by the canons of Vorau. This is also where the name HERRENHOF comes from. Back then, wine was produced for the monastery on the calcareous sandstone soils.

Gottfried Lamprecht is the winemaker at HERRENHOF. His great-grandfather acquired HERRENHOF in 1913 because of its very favorable location. The vineyards had since been cleared. However, in 2006, this winemaking project was revived by Gottfried Lamprecht. Winemaking here is a craft. The winery has been certified organic since its inception.

Try the wines from HERRENHOF! Whether in the vineyard or in the wine cellar, winemaking here is a craft. The standards for the wines are very high, and you can taste it!

About the Wines

The following wines are produced:

- Sand & Limestone Pinot Blanc
- Furmint from the sandstone
- Sauvignon Blanc Silt & Gravel
- Buchertberg White Mixed Blend (our favorite project)

- Sand & Limestone Reserve Pinot Gris
- Pinot Noir (also available as a rosé)
- Buchertberg Red Blaufränkisch (also available as a rosé)

We maintain very high standards for our wines. All wines are aged primarily in 600-liter starter barrels. Half of these barrels are made from wood sourced from our own oak forest!
