About Winery and Wines

I Balzini Winery was born in 1980 from an idea of Vincenzo D'Isanto. It is located in Barberino Val d'Elsa (Florence), in the heart of Tuscany, inside a land with a great wine-production vocation and full historical witnesses. All along these gentle hills, kissed by beautiful sunsets, are selected only first quality grapes, harvested by hand and constantly cared with great attention and passion, during all the phases of the process. I Balzini wines are elegant, smooth and pleasant to drink; they are particularly apt for the aging and able to tell the tale of a territory which is deeply loved and cared by choices of eco-sustainablity. First Antonella, Vincenzo's wife, and now Diana, their daughter, have been running the business with great passion. At the production of five labels of red wines and one of rosé wine are added that of Grappa Reserve, oil and wine jelly.

I Balzini White Label - IGP Colli della Toscana Centrale - Supertuscan with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon Intense dreep ruby-red coloured wine with elegant complex bouquet characterized by ripe red berries and spicy notes. Well-balanced and soft in the mouth with an extremely long finish. Wine with a strong sense of terrior that brings out the elegance and complexity of the two varietals. Ideal for long aging. I Balzini Black Label - IGP Colli della Toscana Centrale - Supertuscan with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Warm, powerfull, austere wine with an intense concentrated ruby-red colour with purple glints. The perfumes are intense and elegant note of berries, harmoniously balanced with refined hints of chocolate, leather and spices like vanilla and coffee. The well-structured sweet tannins create enjoyable velvety sensations in the mouth, finish dominated by lingering after-aroma. Ideal for a long aging. I Balzini Balze Rosse - IGP Toscana - Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon Good structure, elegant and firm. The color is rubin red with purple reflection. The bouquet is characterized by floral notes and scents of berries and spices, It has varietal parfumes of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon refined by Merlot. It is great wine for all the meal. I Balzini Green Label - IGP Toscana - Sangiovese and Mammolo Fresh fragant wine with floreal bouquet dominated by Parma violet.
