Il Poggiolino is a dynamic company that blends ancient roots and solid principles with innovation and a deep respect for tradition. The philosophy of its owners, Alberto Fabbri and Alessandra Pacini, is to passionately believe in the quality of their wine, even if it means sacrificing quantity. This commitment to excellence is reflected in the company’s long-standing membership in the Black Rooster Consortium since 1964. Wine is produced and bottled only in the finest vintages, with the harvest conducted manually to select only the best bunches. The estate has been under the family's ownership since 1979, with their private collection dating back to 1965.
The estate includes 8 hectares of vineyards and about 1,000 olive trees. Since 2005, the "Poggialto" property has expanded to include an additional 12 hectares of vineyards, 12 hectares of olive groves with approximately 3,000 trees, 24 hectares of crops and woodland, and a 120-hectare hunting reserve.
At Il Poggiolino, wine production reaches approximately 110,000 bottles per year, carefully crafted into various types. Every aspect of production is meticulously overseen by an in-house wine technician, supported by an internationally renowned winemaker and a team of agronomists. This dedicated approach, while not certified organic, is committed to working with the utmost respect for the environment and nature.
Deeply rooted in the potential and significance of the Chianti Classico region, Il Poggiolino takes pride in being part of the world-renowned Black Rooster denomination. The winery is devoted to producing only the highest quality products, including Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Gran Selezione Le Balze, Roncaia IGT 100% Merlot, AlesPaci5 Spumante Metodo Tradizionale Extra Brut, Rosacarina IGT Rosato di Sangiovese. This dedication to excellence ensures that each bottle reflects the rich heritage and exceptional quality of the Chianti Classico area.
