Degustazione piacevole e simpatica

Rate: 4 out of 5 11/1/23
Abbiamo fatto la degustazione in compagnia del proprietario della cantina, con il quale poi ci siamo fermati a chiacchierare. I vini erano tutti buonissimi, ci ha anche offerto degli stuzzichini.

About Winery and Wines

Illica Vini draws inspiration from both the natural beauty of its surroundings and the cultural legacy of Luigi Illica, a renowned playwright and librettist from the region. Luigi Illica, who worked with great composers like Giacomo Puccini and Umberto Giordano, embodies the spirit of innovation and creativity that also defines the winery. Born near Castell’Arquato, his adventurous life and commitment to excellence parallel the values of Illica Vini.

At Illica Vini, excellence is cultivated through the meticulous care of each step in the production process, ensuring that every bottle reflects the authenticity of the Piacenza region. The winery places a strong emphasis on organic viticulture, respecting nature by maintaining a balance between human intervention and the natural environment. They believe in using without consuming, ensuring sustainability in all aspects of their work. This philosophy of treating nature as an active partner in winemaking highlights the winery's deep connection with the land.

Incorporating innovation while respecting tradition, Illica Vini embraces modern technology in winemaking, such as washing grapes or eliminating oxygen, to enhance the natural beauty of their wines. The belief that innovation can become tomorrow’s tradition allows the winery to maintain a forward-thinking approach while honoring the heritage of the region.

The winery is deeply connected to the territory, producing wines exclusively from Piacenza grapes grown at high altitudes, adhering to the principles of sustainable mountain agriculture. Illica Vini also emphasizes ethics, ecology, and education, promoting sustainability and social responsibility, transforming the Vall’ongina into a laboratory for future development and a reference point for international wine culture.

This dedication to excellence, innovation, and respect for nature and tradition sets Illica Vini apart, making it a symbol of high-quality organic winemaking in the Piacenza region.

Illica Vini exclusively produces wines from selected grapes grown in their organic vineyards, embodying a tradition rooted in the ancient winemaking practices of Piacenza. For the Illica family, winemaking is more than just a process — it is an art, a passion, and a way of life. They use traditional methods such as carefully screening the best grapes and hand-harvesting. In the cellar, modern technologies are employed to create wines that both reflect the area’s rich winemaking heritage and meet contemporary trends. This fusion of tradition and innovation allows Illica Vini to craft wines that authentically represent the region while embracing modern advancements in vinification.
