Le Cime Basse is a small reality of eight hectares cultivated organically certified, distributed over different areas of the Matelica area. About three hectares are cultivated with Verdicchio in the Balzani area, at an altitude of 420 m above sea level and in the Grotta Grifoni area a approximately 488 meters above sea level. The rest of the property it is cultivated with olive groves and orchards of various types, to maintain a rich life as much as possible biodiversity in the area.

Giovanni's passion for the world of wine, in reality, it was born for fun. With his friends he tried his hand at the artisanal production of a classic method sparkling wine, harvesting the grapes from his family's historic vineyards. Giovanni, as time passed, did not has never abandoned this passion, and it is managed to convey his strong feeling for oenology also to Annalisa, his wife, so much so that we decided together to give life, in 2019, at their farm Le Cime Basse.

The Wine Verdicchio di Matelica is born in the heart of the upper Esino valley, a valley in the Marche region which extends from North to South, mother of viticulture par excellence in our region. Thanks to the characteristics of its terroir, combined with the skilful work of the winemakers of the area, the Esino Valley gives us every year, a unique wine of its kind. The territory in which we find ourselves is closed to the sea, this causes the area of ​​Matelica and others seven municipalities in the area included in the specifications has a continental climate characterized by fresh currents coming from the Sibillini Mountains.

The company's first vintage is 2022. A stingy thousandth of precipitation and a lot hot which required early harvesting of the grapes.
