Our host was fantastic. Lovely to learn about her family heritage. Wine tasting was paired beautifully with the cheese & did I mention the wine.. amazing! Had to buy some to take home.

Excellent and interesting tour

A lovely winery in the Tuscan hills.. We were the only party there which added to the experience.

The welcome was wonderful and we were tasting some excellent wines and olive oil which we have shipped back home.
The food platter was delicious and complimented the wines perfectly

A beautiful setting with great wine. The bruschetta was yummy. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend it. Good value for money. It is good to support small local family owned winemakers.

L'azienda è a tenuta familiare. Si respira davvero la passione e anche la fatica di queste persone, che fanno tutto col sorriso. Le padrone di casa straordinarie e anche se l'azienda è (naturalmente) piccola, è molto piacevole il tour della vigna e degli olivi, oltre che la cantina scavata nella roccia.

About Winery and Wines

My name is Martina, and I was born and raised between the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Valdichiana, famous for its Chianina beef. Since 2016, I’ve carried on my family's tradition of cultivating wine and olive oil, expanding the farm and adding agritourism activities. Lignanello covers 5 hectares, with 1.5 hectares of vineyards primarily planted with Sangiovese, alongside Merlot, Syrah, Trebbiano, and Malvasia. We are small producers, bottling about 5,000 bottles annually, focusing on quality and organic methods.

We produce approximately 5,000 bottles per year across three labels:

Saggiolo: A unique white wine made from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, fermented in steel whit skins and matured in French oak tonneaux for 12 months. Each bottle is handcrafted, embodying the spirit of experimentation and exclusivity.

Peltrino Toscana Rosè IGT: Syrah 100% fermented without skins. A fresh, youthful, and lively gastronomic rosé. Dedicated to my daughter.

Bandolo Toscana Rosso IGT: A pure Sangiovese, fermented and matured in steel, offering a fresh and simple wine with pronounced tannins and a distinct Sangiovese character.

Contrasti Orcia Rosso DOC: Made from hand-selected Sangiovese grapes, this wine is matured for 12 months in French oak barrels. It boasts a complex aromatic profile with spices and wood notes, harmoniously blended with ripe red fruit.
