About Winery and Wines

The winery was founded in 1913 by the grandfather of the present owner and winemaker Domenico De Filippo. Since then, four generations of De Filippo have succeeded in the production of fine wines. The experience handed down from the foundation to the present has allowed the company to guarantee its customers, who have become over the years more and more attentive and demanding, the utmost care and the best results in making wine. The ancient cellars for the vinification and aging of the wines are located at the foot of Mount Orfano, in the ancient village centre of Coccaglio, which was a medieval castle, built on the ruins of the ancient Roman castrum. As they ensure conditions of constant temperature and humidity during the year, they have always been used for the conservation of the wines of Franciacorta. A tradition that Montorfano De Filippo enshrines jealously, welcoming in those cellars, with unchanged care and passion, the different vintages of Franciacorta for their best refinement.
