The Archetti family made us feel at home with Michela guiding us through the tasting and her mother providing cheeses and meats. We were impressed with the flavors expressed through the grapes! Luca also sat with us and opened one of his favorites to share also. We were staying in Brescia and Il Dosso was an easy drive. This winery had what we look for; personal attention, generations of wine experience, and a passion for producing wine. We highly recommend this as one of our favorite tasting experiences in Lombardy.

4 A Beautifully Balanced Experience of History, Nature, and Wine (Jasper)We chose the Da Vinci route, which takes you on a scenic walk around the entire vineyard. There’s something truly special about this place — a unique blend of history, nature, and winemaking, with the added magic of standing where Leonardo da Vinci is said to have conceived the idea of the Mona Lisa. To also be able to actually taste the grapes directly from the vine is amazing as well. Be aware though, the trail is quite physical, with some steep climbs, so I’d only recommend it if you’re in good shape and comfortable walking uphill. The experience ended perfectly with a wine tasting beautifully paired with local cured meats and cheeses. We sampled two red wines and one sparkling, each carefully matched to highlight the region’s character. If you’re in the area — and up for the walk — this is an absolute must-do. (Pictures are unfortunately only part of the tour. Much more to see.)

5 Excellent and informative tour (Annie)We had such a great time visiting Il Dosso Winery in Franciacorta. It’s a small, family-run place and you really feel that personal touch throughout the tour. It was really interesting to see how they work and to hear the passion behind what they do. The wines were excellent, with a lovely variety to try, and the tasting was made even better by the local meats and cheeses they served alongside – such a perfect match! A really warm and welcoming experience – I’d definitely recommend Il Dosso if you want something more personal and authentic than the bigger tours.

5 Amazing wine tasting experience, highlight of our trip (Victoria)Our wine tasting at Tenuta Frontelago was amazing all throughout. Both the tour around the winery, the tasting itself and the snacks that were included in the price were great. The owners made us feel very welcome and appreciated at the tour. We bought a bottle with us in the end of the tour which was amazing as well. The winery is easy to get to by public transport and if you want to walk to/from Sirmione it's a nice 1-hour walk by the lake. We definitely really recommend this experience!

The wines were absolutely delicious, and the explanations were clear, interesting, and full of passion. What made it even more special was meeting the whole family – it gave the experience a truly personal touch. Even though it was just the two of us, we were given a full tour and all the time in the world to ask questions and learn more. It felt intimate, welcoming, and truly authentic. Also, my wife doesn’t eat meat, and they went out of their way to accommodate her – which we really appreciated. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine and memorable wine experience!

5 Amazing vineyard in the beginning of their journey (Riaan)First a huge praise to Sara, who was extremely kind. I had mistakenly entered the visit into my calendar for the Sunday while it was actually for Saturday, imagine my surprise when Sunday morning I got an email to review. I sent an email and within an hour, I was greeted with a WhatsApp message that we could visit at 11 that same morning. We arrived in what can only be described as a rustic house, quickly met up with Sara and promptly started our tour. It was insightful and with a lot of knowledge shared we learnt about the vines, what kind of care goes into them and how devastating the changes in the climate have been. They are starting to ramp up production now and it's clear they've got a lot of opportunity and potential with the size of the vineyard and quality! We ended the tour and got to taste some of the vintages, paired with an abundant board of cold cuts, olives and local cheeses, with a clear standout being the gooseberry jam! Delicious. If you're looking for an accessible, knowledgeable and friendly vibe where you feel like a member of the family this is the place to visit.

5 5 star wine experience (Clare)What a fantastic wine tour, the host was very informative and we had a really good size of wine poured for our tasting of the wines, we got to choose our favourite wine at the end, lovely family owned winery. Happily offered to move our time to earlier to accommodate us and even offered to call us a taxi back to our hotel. You can buy numerous wines and they can ship them home to you too. Lovely experience -recommend to anyone for trying this tour.

(Jason)From start to finish, Matteo made this experience worthwhile, capturing the essence and passion he has for the wine he and his family have been making for 6 generations. The charcuterie board coupled with a sampling of exquisite wines made us wish we could have spent more time in this beautiful part of Italy. 5 Fantastic tour and wine in top end (FINN)We learned a lot about how to produce really good wine. We have been at other wine producers, and could both see and taste the difference when the grappes and wine are produced much more manuelle, only with the best grappes, no machine pressing ex.. 15.000 bottles was manuelle turned by hand several times each day. To "clean" the wine before corking it (you need to see for understanding). This was also one of the job our tourguide, Caroline, did douring her woorking day. She was also fantastic. University educated in vinery and spoke a perfect and fluid English. No questions was unanswered, bravo. Youngest wine was 6 years. So naturally also in the higher prize level, but ok for this quality of wine. They have all types of wine, red, white, rose, sparkling ex.. So for us it was a good experience and a bit expensive, as we also left with 3 boxes of our favorite wine
