Mórocz Pincészet

Mórocz Pincészet is the result of more than a decade of dedication to winemaking and a long personal journey toward creating a winery of my own. Over the years, I studied, experimented, and learned to understand the many nuances of grapes and vintages. Each harvest brought new excitement about the quality of the wines, and to date, I have already produced more than four million bottles.

My first visit to the Pécsely Basin in 2014 was a turning point. I was immediately captivated by the beauty of the landscape. I had always known what I wanted to achieve in winemaking, but in that moment, it also became clear where I wanted to pursue it.

In 2020, I finally managed to purchase a cellar and a vineyard in this remarkable area, marking the beginning of my own chapter. At Mórocz Pincészet, I am able to use all the knowledge and experience I have gathered to craft wines that proudly carry my own name and vision. Here, I can approach the world of grapes and wine exactly as I have always imagined.

The daily life of Mórocz Pincészet is guided by a deep respect for quality, wine culture, and community. We believe in never compromising on quality while creating a welcoming and authentic atmosphere around wine—one that avoids unnecessary pathos but always honors the true spirit of wine.

At Mórocz Pincészet, the wine selection follows a concise and focused “menu” approach. The portfolio mainly features fresh, reductive wines that are light, aromatic, and easy to enjoy, complemented by two fuller-bodied wines aged in oak barrels.

Currently, Mórocz Pincészet offers five wines. Among the lighter, reductive styles are Traminer, Grüner Veltliner, and Olaszrizling (Welschriesling), the most important grape variety of the region, which is produced in two different styles.

The selection is completed by two more structured wines: a Chardonnay and an older, barrel-aged Olaszrizling (Welschriesling) called Kissbarátom, a wine that showcases greater depth and complexity.

Through this balanced range, Mórocz Pincészet highlights both the freshness and the character of the Pécsely Basin terroir.
