NADALUTTI FRANCO

Winery in Colli Orientali, Friuli Grave

About the Winery

Nadalutti winery is located in Orsaria, between the hills of Manzano and Premariacco, in the heart of Colli Orientali del Friuli, and it is the result of almost sixty years of work of the family. Today the business produces excellent wines from vineyards located in Orsaria and Rosazzo, the latter being one of the most suited areas of Friuli for the production of white wines. The cultivation of vines is done with the traditional method of "double upside down" which allows to obtain an optimal vegetal-productive balance while respecting nature. In the production of grapes, Nadalutti winery makes use of integrated pest control with low environmental impact, without using herbicides, even in harvesting we remain faithful to these principles by harvesting grapes by hand in cases. The vinification of the grapes takes place in modern thermo-conditioned steel barrels. The rigor and great attention, even for the smallest detail, are combined with the traditional technique, to preserve the terroir and the aromatic heritage generated by our vines, in order to create unique wines.

About the Wines

As white wines they produce: Friulano, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Verduzzo Friulano and Picolit. As red wines are produced: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Refosco dal peduncolo rosso, Pignolo and Franconia.

Discoveries and passion for wine
It was a beautiful experience, very kind and welcoming. We drank 5 types of wine, all accompanied by a beautiful platter of cured meats and cheeses. I recommend it...
I recommend going during the day, because in the evening you cannot visit the vineyard.

An afternoon at home
It was a beautiful afternoon where we were welcomed into a home-like and genuine environment.
We had the opportunity to learn the techniques and processes related to winemaking directly from the owners, with the details and tips that only someone who has done this work for generations can pass on.

A lovely surprise
Right from the start, we appreciated the simplicity with which Federico explained the entire winemaking process to us, from the vine to the bottle, with precision but using language understandable to those of us not in the industry. We felt at home, in an informal atmosphere that you can only find in a family-run winery. In addition to the excellent wines, we were served an excellent platter of cured meats and cheeses to pair with them. Highly recommended! Excellent quality-price ratio.
Try their Malvasia and their Ribolla Gialla.

Beyond expectations
Fabulous tasting!
Federico and Giorgia accompanied us on the tour. From the soil to the pruning, from the different grape varieties to the procedures in the cellar. A useful journey for those who love quality and excellence.
For the tasting, we were welcomed by Federico's mother into a homey atmosphere. I have rarely had such a pleasant platter of cured meats and cheeses.
Federico and Giorgia told us about and had us taste several bottles (at least 6), between reds and whites.
If I were to come back to this area, I would definitely take the opportunity to do the vineyard tour again and continue tasting their products. Rating from 1 to 10: 11!!!!

Super Experience!
Fabulous tasting!
Federico accompanied us on the tour, telling us his family's story and conveying all his passion.
Given the season, it wasn't possible to tour the vineyard, what a shame!
For the tasting, we were welcomed by the warmth of the typical Friulian fireplace, in a room where you could breathe the atmosphere of home.
Federico and Giulia told us with love about their wines (we tasted a good 7 of them, between reds and whites) and their projects for the winery.
We will surely return, to enjoy the tour in the vineyard and taste the wines we missed!

Everything was delicious and the staff was very kind!
I gifted this tasting experience at Nadalutti to my brother and his friends. They were thrilled, very good wine, not to mention the tasting of typical products. The Nadalutti family was also very courteous and professional, highly recommended!
A suggestion, it would be nice to do the initial winery tour with a glass of wine!
