About Winery and Wines

Patagonian Wines, established in 1998 by Bernardo Weinert, is the pioneering winery in the Chubut region of Argentina. Nestled in the picturesque town of El Hoyo, 10 km south of the 42nd parallel and 300 meters above sea level, the winery is surrounded by a unique and extreme climate that shapes the character of its wines. With 12.5 hectares of land, 10.5 of which are dedicated to vineyards, Patagonian Wines grows Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Gewürztraminer varieties, reflecting the evolution of viticulture in this southern province.

Travelers visiting Patagonian Wines will find a unique destination in the heart of Argentine Patagonia, where the breathtaking landscape of mountains and forests creates a perfect backdrop for wine tasting. The winery’s long-standing tradition, combined with its passion for crafting wines that express the essence of this remote and rugged terroir, makes it a must-visit for wine lovers looking for an authentic Patagonian experience.

Patagonian Wines offers a carefully curated portfolio of wines and sparkling wines that highlight the distinct characteristics of their southern terroir. With a focus on limited production, the winery crafts exceptional wines from Merlot and Pinot Noir, along with vibrant Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Chardonnay varieties.

The winery’s collection is divided into three lines: Piedra Parada, featuring young and fruity wines with blends of grapes and vintages; Faldeo del Epuyen, aged for 8 months with French oak staves; and Cordillera, the flagship range with wines aged for over 12 months in French oak barrels. Each wine reflects the boldness and complexity of the Patagonian terroir.

Patagonian Wines also produces sparkling wines using the traditional method. Their Mas Allá Brut Nature, a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and Más Allá Brut Nature Rosé, made from 100% Merlot, spend a minimum of 12 months on the lees, delivering fine bubbles and exceptional elegance. Each bottle captures the essence of the southern vineyards, offering wine lovers a true taste of Patagonia.
