About Winery and Wines
Poggio agli Ulivi, owned by Oreste, is a family-run winery located in the Colli Albani, near Frascati, with a rich history dating back to the 1940s. The estate has been passed down through generations, specializing in the cultivation of Malvasia Puntinata, a grape used in the production of Frascati DOC wines. Benefiting from volcanic soils and an ideal climate with abundant sunshine, the region’s natural features contribute to the vineyard's biodiversity, preserving the legacy of traditional winemaking in this historic area.
At Poggio agli Ulivi, Oreste, the owner, enjoys sharing his family's winemaking history, which dates back to 1940, with travelers and wine lovers. To immerse visitors in the peasant traditions of Frascati, he offers the Farmer's Breakfast experience. This meal consists of simple, authentic local ingredients and is enjoyed in the farmhouse his father built.
