Psarouli Winery has been cultivating vineyards since 1948, driven by a long-standing dedication to the land and to quality winemaking. Today, the winery holds the largest vineyard area dedicated to the Assyrtiko variety.

The majority of Psarouli’s Assyrtiko vineyards are planted on the floor of a prehistoric lake, a unique landscape that shapes the character, minerality, and freshness of the wines. This rare terroir, combined with decades of experience, gives rise to wines that express both history and place with remarkable clarity. 

Since 2013, we have been producing premium-quality wines from privately owned and carefully selected vineyards across the wider region of Messinia. This new chapter marked the creation of our modern boutique winery, designed to combine tradition with contemporary winemaking.

All vinification takes place at our state-of-the-art winery, located right next to the vineyards, allowing for immediate processing of the grapes and full control over quality at every stage.

Guided by the belief that knowledge is shaped by time, and that every vineyard carries the presence and vision of the vine grower behind it, the winemaker approaches winemaking with deep respect for place and experience.

The majority of Psarouli’s Assyrtiko vineyards are planted on the floor of a prehistoric lake, where ancient soils shape the wines’ minerality, freshness, and clarity. Alongside Assyrtiko, the winery cultivates Filéri, Malagousia, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Agiorgitiko, each variety carefully matched to its vineyard and microclimate.

Through this close relationship between land, vine, and human insight, Psarouli wines express authenticity, balance, and a true sense of origin—each bottle telling a quiet, honest story of where it comes from.
