Herdade da Ribafreixo focuses predominantly on white grape varieties, which account for 80% of its total production. The emblematic grape of the region is Antão Vaz, often referred to as the "queen grape." Other white varieties cultivated on the estate include Arinto, Chenin Blanc, Verdelho, Alvarinho, and Síria.

Among the red grapes, the most prominent are Alicante Bouschet, Alfrocheiro, Aragonês, Tinta Miúda, Roupeiro, Syrah, and the iconic Touriga Nacional, Portugal’s most celebrated red variety.
