Riserva della Cascina

Riserva della Cascina is an organic family-run winery located within the Appia Antica Regional Park, just a short distance from the center of Rome.

For over 80 years, our family has been caring for this land, preserving its agricultural and cultural heritage. Since 1994, we have been producing certified organic wines, with a strong commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.

What makes our winery truly unique is its location: we are the only working vineyard situated directly along the Ancient Appian Way, a landscape where nature, history, and archaeology coexist in a rare and authentic way.

Behind every experience there is a dedicated hospitality team, passionate about sharing not only our wines, but also the story of this extraordinary territory. Our approach is simple yet meaningful: to create authentic moments where guests can connect with the land, the people, and the culture through wine.

We believe that wine is more than a product — it is a way to tell a story. And every visit to Riserva della Cascina is an opportunity to discover the deep connection between volcanic terroir, ancient history, and organic viticulture.

Our wines are a true expression of the unique volcanic terroir of the Appia Antica area, where mineral-rich soils and a Mediterranean climate create ideal conditions for viticulture.

We focus on native and well-adapted grape varieties, cultivating them according to certified organic practices that respect both the land and its natural balance. Every stage of production, from vineyard to cellar, is guided by a philosophy of sustainability and authenticity.

We primarily work with indigenous white grape varieties (like Malvasia Puntinata, Grechetto,...), as this area has a strong tradition for white wines. Alongside these, we also cultivate selected international red varieties. Each of our labels is deeply connected to the history of Ancient Rome, reflecting the cultural and historical identity of the Appian Way and strengthening the bond between wine, place, and heritage.
