Fuimos a visitar la bodega y el viñedo. Pasamos un excelente momento compartiendo vinos y charlas con Rita, la encargada de la visita. Degustamos la mayoría de los vinos que tienen y para cada uno, nos hicieron oler distintos aromas que tenían en frasquitos para ayudarnos a darnos cuenta de los aromas característicos de cada vino. Además, nos dieron una tabla con quesos y fiambres para maridar.
Fue una experiencia maravillosa!
Un lugar súper recomendable con excelentes vinos.

La visita alla cantina Apollonio e’ stata davvero soddisfacente, sia per i vini che ci hanno presentato che per la visita alla vigna ed alla cantina. Visita istruttiva e di contenuti, bella esperienza!
Prenotate per tempo! Mettete scarpe comode per visita alla vigna, anche se il percorso è su strada asfaltata.

Our wine tasting experience was incredible. We learned so much about the grapes, the terrain, history and wine. Our guide was so knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed tasting wine with pairings. Everything about the experience was amazing from the first friendly greeting to the last wonderful sip of wine. It was a highlight for us.
The pairings were delicious. The pride and enthusiasm exuded by the staff and family was amazing.

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di essere un piccolo gruppo, di aver trovato una giornata dal clima perfetto, una padrona di casa con tutte le caratteristiche giuste.
Competenza cortesia simpatia professionalità e non da ultimo dell'ottimo vino spiegato e fatto degustare in modo sapiente. Il tutto senza mai essere noioso o prolisso

De ontvangst was hartelijk en vriendelijk. De host sprak redelijk goed engels. Er was echter 1 Italiaanse gast innde groep die erg veel aandacht kreeg en lange Italiaanse vertaling kreeg van wat wij kort in het engels hadden gehoord. De rondgang tussen de druiven en in de kelder stelde weinig voor, de proeverij was goed en prettig. De host had niet de passie van een echte wijnmaker helaas

We had booked a tasting for four people for an afternoon at 4:00 PM. It was supposed to last 1.5 hours. The price was €35.00 per person, not cheap, but reasonable. We received an enthusiastic welcome. The hostess took us into the vineyard. She told us all about the vines, the grapes, their successes, but also the disappointments that can come with drought, frost, or too much rain. You could ask her anything; she took her time with her guests. The tasting consisted of five or six wines; we ultimately tried seven or eight. The accompanying snacks were delicious. We finally left after two hours and fifteen minutes.
No suggestions, it was just really good.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Weinprobe, der eine sehr informative Führung auf dem Weingut vorausging. Die Weinprobe hat stattgefunden, obwohl wir die einzigen waren, die sich an diesem Tag angemeldet hatten (Nebensaison), dafür waren wir sehr dankbar.. Zur Weinprobe selbst gab es einen Teller mit Wurst und Käse Aufschnitt, das war sehr lecker, und hat toll zu den feinen Weinen gepasst. Wir haben die Weinprobe sehr genossen, und können sie uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Toll war auch die wunderschöne Lage des Weinguts, und dass wir von Alba zu Fuß hin laufen konnten.

Bellissima esperienza,luogo fantastico con vista sui colli eccezionale.Una bellissima azienda.La signora Jessica,la proprietaria,ed la ragazza Federica una giovanissima sommelier sono entrambe molto competenti e professionali e nel loro viaggio nel raccontare la storia da come nasce il vino si capisce l amore e la passione nel loro lavoro.....Ottima la degustazione con i loro prodotti tipici.Da consigliare

About Winery and Wines

Roberto Abellonio's Cascina Piccaluga, a 19th-century farmhouse, finds itself in the hills behind Alba, soaring above one of the most beautiful territories in the world!

We are located in the village of Altavilla, which turns its gaze to the towers of Alba and the unparalleled panorama of the hills of Treiso and Barbaresco. Here, 20 years ago, in 1996, Roberto Abellonio started making wines after taking over his family's ancient vineyards, creating the Abellonio winery, which today he runs with the help of his wife Jessica and his cousin and winemaker Alessandro.

The different percentages of combination of clays, calcareous marls, bluish marls, sands and sulfiferous chalks in the subsoil layers of Cascina Piccaluga give wines of excellent structure, finesse, elegance and persistence.

The precious mixture of soil and microclimate of our hills, combined with cultivation and winemaking technique and experience, are fully encapsulated in our bottles.

Cascina Piccaluga today has about 10 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located in Alba in Altavilla, Treiso, Barbaresco and Santo Stefano Belbo. Vineyards of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis, Moscato and Chardonnay are grown on the estate.
