The bond between the Sacco family and the cultivation of agricultural products has ancient roots. Already in the 19th century, there were some members of the Sacco family successfully engaged in the cultivation of vines and olives. For about twenty years, carrying on the centuries-old family tradition, Vincenzo Sacco with his sons Matteo and Alessandro and making use of modern technologies and an innovative spirit, produce wines and organic extra virgin olive oil in full respect of nature, aware that bio-sustainable agriculture, promoting healthy eating and an environmentally friendly lifestyle, can encourage a true return to the deepest origins of man. The vines grown are: Bombino Bianco, Trebbiano, Malvasia, Falanghina, Nero di Troia, and Montepulciano; while the olive cultivar produced is Peranzana.
The link between the Sacco family and the cultivation of agricultural products has ancient roots. It is, in fact, difficult to determine who was the first ancestor of this long-lived and large family of Torremaggiore (FG) to undertake the production of local food specialties. Here, already in the nineteenth century, there were some members of the Sacco family successfully engaged in the cultivation of grapes and olives. For nearly 20 years, to carry on the centuries-old family tradition Vincenzo Sacco, with his sons Matteo and Alessandro, using modern and innovative technologies, produces wines, organic extra virgin olive oil. The grape varieties cultivated are: Nero di Troia, Bombino Bianco, Trebbiano, Falanghina, Malvasia and Montepulciano; while the olive cultivar is Peranzana.
Vineyards and olive groves span approximately 20 hectares at the foot of the Gargano, thriving in calcareous-clay soils naturally suited for viticulture and olive cultivation.
Wines:
Magis Nero di Troia: Crafted from 100% Nero di Troia grapes, this wine presents a deep ruby red color with complex aromas of red fruits like plums, cherries, and black cherries, complemented by notes of chocolate and vanilla. It pairs excellently with roasted or grilled meats and mature cheeses.
Terra Mij Bianco (Bombino-Malvasia): A blend of Bombino Bianco and Malvasia grapes, this white wine offers a harmonious balance of fresh fruit flavors and floral notes, ideal for pairing with light appetizers and seafood dishes.
"Unanotte" (Nero di Troia): This rosé wine, made from Nero di Troia grapes, features a delicate pink hue and aromas of red berries and floral undertones, making it a perfect companion for salads, light pasta dishes, and grilled fish.
Terra Mij Rosso: Produced from Nero di Troia grapes, this red wine exhibits a ruby red color with a generous bouquet of red fruits and spices. It has a soft taste with a fresh and persistent finish, pairing well with grilled meats and cheeses. aziendasacco.com
