Cantine Merinum Vieste
(Winery in Foggia)
Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €38.00
Cantine Merinum is a winery born from a deep passion for the land and the art of winemaking, rooted in the enchanting region of Vieste, at the foot of the Umbra Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The story of our winery is intertwined with the memories of Cinzia Quitadamo, a young viticulturist who transformed her childhood experiences in her grandfather's vineyard into a lifelong dedication to creating exceptional wines. Cinzia's journey began with a simple yet profound memory of a hot summer afternoon in her grandfather's vineyard, where the sights, sounds, and scents of the land ignited her love for wine.
After completing her studies, Cinzia returned to her beloved Vieste and acquired a vineyard, where she brought her dream to life by founding Cantine Merinum. Here, we cultivate native vines such as Bombino Bianco, Nero di Troia, Malvasia Nera, and Sussumaniello, each of which tells the story of our origins and the rich heritage of Apulia. At Cantine Merinum, we are dedicated to crafting wines that not only reflect the unique terroir of our land but also evoke the timeless beauty of the region. Visitors to our winery can expect to be immersed in a sensory journey, where the essence of Apulia comes alive through our wines and the stories they tell.

Caiaffa Vini
(Winery in Foggia)
Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €15.00
Caiaffa Vini is located in Cerignola, on the heights that surround the legendary Tavoliere of Apulia. This is the “kingdom” of the Caiaffa family, the realm of a reassuring chromatism, yellow from the wheat and blue from the sky: the classic two-color landscape is a result of the lack of rain in this part of Apulia. The winery follows the principles of synergistic agriculture. Its principles? Embracing a new - but also ancient - way of conceiving nature as the only great collaborator. This is why, at Caiaffa Vini the use of insecticides and pesticides is banned, but rather flora and fauna are allowed to flourish spontaneously, willingly abdicating all conventionally used chemical synthesis products.
Losito
(Winery in Foggia)
Our history begins at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s thanks to the intuition of the winemaker Giovanni Losito. During a visit to the Terre del Gargano, in northern Puglia, he noticed the coexistence of seas, mountains, large expanses of fertile land and excellent climate for quality viticulture, so he decided to plant new vineyards there, moving with the whole family from Rutigliano (province of Bari) in Foggia.
A few years later Giovanni also benefits from the help of his son Leonardo who shares his father's passion for viticulture so much that he also pursues oenological studies. It was no longer enough for Leonardo to produce only grapes, so he decided to found the first family winery in 1994 and four years later, in 1998, he made a courageous choice of sensibility: converting vineyards to organic farming to obtain healthier grapes and wines, decades before public opinion was sensitized on this subject.
In 2012, Leonardo's sons, Giovanni and Aurelia, decided to follow in the footsteps of their fathers, inaugurating together a new, modern winery immersed in their own vineyards. Giovanni, also an oenologist, follows both wine and wine production with his father, as well as commercial aspects, while Aurelia dedicates itself to foreign markets, making known the fruit of the work of the Losito family all over the world.
Today the company owns 60 hectares between the Terre del Gargano and the Tavoliere delle Puglie, making its own organic grapes.
Valentina Passalacqua - Vini Biologici
(Winery in Foggia)
“It is necessary to listen to and then respect the vine from which everything starts. You have to second it for what nature gives it. It is a fantastic plant which must be educated to the ‘good’ but for this reason it needs time, committment and passion.”
Harmonious words that reached me stimulating my dreams. There was nothing written in what I heard, as well as for those wise, there weren’t and there have never been established agronomic practices, nor a prepacked wine recipe, but only a great attention to the vine and to the observation of nature. An ancient erudition that I wanted to be mine, trying to absorb that oral traditon which has still value. Therefore, once again, I have made my choice and choosing I have decided to aim at organic farming which was the daughter of what land gives, putting myself as an observer, trying to intervene the bare essentials in the flow of seasons with the aim of giving a unique, spontaneous, true and good wine that is the guarantee of my work.

Our winery nestles in the beautiful landscape of the Daunian Mountains, near the small village of Volturino, in the province of Foggia.
From here, we enjoy a picturesque panorama of steep valleys and rolling hills full of old vines native to Puglia and centuries-old olive groves.
A scenario much loved by the many tourists who come to visit and take part in the tasting sessions and cellar visits that we organise periodically.
The building that today houses all our wine production was once the shed where agricultural machinery and building equipment were stored.
