Teresa Soria Winery
About the Winery
We are in Castiglione Tinella, where Langhe faces Monferrato, a few minutes from Canelli: the village where at the end of the Nineteenth Century the first Italian spumante was born. Hills filled with history and culture. Beating heart of the classical area of Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante DOCG.
Like for many family-run wineries in Langhe, it’s difficult to go back to the date of foundation. Soon enough, one gets lost in the memories and vicissitudes of the generations that came before us. We can fix the beginning of our history when, in the first post-war period, my grandparents Anna Colla and Armando Soria purchased a second-hand press and built the first two concrete vessels, with the unmissable “Dutch sack filter”, to start to vinify the Moscato Bianco variety. They foresaw how important can be the ability to transform one’s grapes.
Today, I, Emanuele, together with my parents Piero and Teresa, run a winery with twelve hectares of SQNPI-certified vineyards, where Moscato and environmental sustainability have a leading role. South-facing vineyards that reach slopes higher than 40%, require a lot of manual work. Historical and heroic vineyards: the “Moscato sorì”. We believe in this heroic agriculture and the distinction of the different cru.
About the Wines
We believe in this heroic agriculture and in the distinction of the different cru. We produce the Moscato d’Asti DOCG Vigna Moncucco, the Moscato d'Asti DOCG Vendemmia Tardiva Vigna Marini and the “INSOLITO” Piemonte DOC Moscato Secco. Some specialties that are available in limited edition are the Moscato d'Asti DOCG Vigna Moncucco Collezione 60 mesi with an aging period of over 5 years in the bottle, and the INSOLITO Collezione, a 100% dry Moscato, macerated and aged for one year in barriques. We also produce a Grappa di Moscato Invecchiata in barriques and, very recently, we’ve taken up the traditional product of our land: the Vermouth di Torino which we produce using our dry Moscato, ideal for cocktails and "aperitivo".
We don’t produce just Moscato, but also a sparkling white wine with natural refermentation in the bottle, the Crotin, the Langhe DOC Arneis, the Rosè di Marin Piemonte DOC Brachetto Secco. We produce two red wines aged in stainless steel: the Langhe DOC Dolcetto and the Barbera d'Alba DOC and two red wines with oak refinement: the Langhe DOC Nebbiolo and the Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC.
Our annual production is around 15000 bottles.
We have thought about a new growth perspective for our business, more connected with wine tourism. We offer visits to the vineyards and wine tastings in the cellar, where one can live a real, direct experience.
For this reason, we enlarged our spaces to improve space management and develop the reception of our guests. We respectfully renovated our Historical Cellar and a small stone "ciabot" in the heart of our Vigna Moncucco.

Hospitality, quality and helpfulness
The charcuterie board is very good and the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned was the Moscato, truly pleasant!
Highly recommended experience!!

Incredible place, good wine: recommended experience
Afterwards we first passed by the cellar and then went up to the terrace for the tasting, served with a platter of cured meats and cheeses and a delicious final cake.
Abundant tastings, very high value for money, stunning place 10/10
Book it :)
Fantastic experience!
Even with the rain and therefore the impossibility of seeing the vineyard, the visit was still full and interesting.
I highly recommend it!
A perfect Christmas gift
