About Winery and Wines
In 1999 Emma and Marc Bournazeau bought 40 hectares of land to transform into a winery and for the last 20 year have been cultivating 28 hectares of vines. The project has been a way for the family to reconnect with its roots after Emma's father fled from Cataluña to Perpignan (France) during the Spanish Civil War. Terra Remota is the dream come true for the family.
Since 2012, we have been certified as an organic winery. Amongst the grapes we grow you will come across indegenous varieties such as: Garnatxa Peluda, Xarel-lo, Black Grenache, White Grenache, Tempranillo as well as more widespread varieties that include Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc.
