TOJO

Winery in Langhe, Moscato d'Asti, Alta Langa, Hills of Asti

About the Winery

Tojo Winery, located in Santo Stefano Belbo, a region in the Langhe recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is rooted in a long-standing tradition of viticulture passed down through generations.

Founded in the early 1900s by Vittorio, great-grandfather of Francesco, the winery has remained a family-run operation, now managed by the fourth generation. Francesco joined the company after finishing his enology studies in Alba, and in 2022 his sister Delia also joined the company.

Tojo Winery spans approximately 6 hectares of vineyards with ideal southern exposure, calcareous-clayey soils, and a favorable micro-climate. The winery produces small quantities of selected wines, crafted with the expertise and care typical of the Piedmontese winemaking tradition.

About the Wines

The Tojo winery in Santo Stefano Belbo produces a range of distinct wines that highlight the region's rich viticultural heritage.

The Moscato Secco ALMA offers an innovative, dry expression of Moscato, ideal for special occasions or pairing with fish and sushi.
Moscato d'Asti MELIS is a sweet, versatile wine perfect for a variety of events, with low alcohol and a fresh profile.
Barbera d'Asti Superiore DELIANNA is a powerful and complex red, rich in fruit and spice, perfect for meat dishes or even chocolate.
Langhe Favorita FARINELLA is a crisp, well-balanced white, excellent for aperitifs and light meals.
Lastly, Moscato Passito LO SFIZIO is a unique sweet wine, combining vintages for a rich, honeyed taste with hints of tropical fruit, making it a perfect dessert wine.

Each wine reflects a careful balance of tradition and innovation, crafted to capture the essence of the Piedmont region.

Great experience in Langhe
The activity offered by the Tojo crew was great! We had an amazing time cycling around the vineyard on a wonderful day. The app made it easy for us to follow the itinerary, and the tour schedule was perfect, so we never felt rushed.

After the effort came the comfort: the wine tasting, the local products, and the very interesting explanations about the winery’s history were all fantastic. We loved it — thank you again to everyone at Tojo!

Very hospitable, friendly and kind, excellent wine and platters. Perfect e-bikes for enjoying the ascents and descents among the vineyard hills without too much effort. Beautiful day. :-)

A very nice experience
After a lovely tour of the vineyard where the friendly owner gave us a lot of information, we moved on to a short tour of where the wine tanks are and then on to the actual tasting. Satisfying, three wines, generous quantity and good quality, all accompanied by salami, breadsticks and cheese. We are satisfied and recommend visiting the Tojo winery.

Wonderful experience
My wife and I were here in early January on a beautiful sunny day and it was wonderful.
Excellent bike rental and super helpful staff.
Francesco from the Tojo Farm, in addition to the truly high-quality products, presented and told us the story and the work behind all of this during the tasting.
Congratulations!!! An absolute must-do experience.

Passion and quality
Winery visit with a youthful style, like its owners. It's wonderful to see the fourth generation at work, with passion and tradition but also study and an openness to the new.
All very good wines, both the sweet and the dry moscato, not to mention the Barbera superiore. Recommended for a fresh and interesting experience.

Go, young people!
Winery run by two brothers who want to champion local products. Superior quality wines thanks to the care and professionalism of Francesco and Delia. The tojo experience lets you taste their amazing wines.
Not to be missed is the dry moscato "Alma", the white that embodies all the freshness of summer "Farinella", and the barbera that makes you feel the flavors of their lands "DeliAnna". Obviously the classic moscato "Melis" is a sure thing.
A winery and experience not to be missed.

Young and enthusiastic
Wonderful experience! Fun and it's nice to see young people who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, with the desire to always improve and evolve.
The e-bike tour is very fun and the explanation in their “laboratory” (as they call it) is interesting.

Wonderful experience.
We were welcomed by the very kind Delia who told us with great passion the story of their winery and their wines. We did a tasting of their excellent wines accompanied by a platter of cured meats and cheeses. Our favorites were the Moscato Secco and the Barbera Superiore.
Thanks for everything and compliments on what you do!
