Visit the Vineyard & Cellar and Taste Wines with Local Dishes at Vignoble Alain Robert

At the Alain Robert Vineyard, discover the production of different wine styles, all made in the Loire Valley!

This 3-hour tour begins with a guided walk through the vineyard, where it all starts, because no good wine can be made without quality grapes first! You'll learn about French appellations in general, and in particular, the Vouvray AOC produced in this region of the Loire Valley. This guided walk will be an opportunity to appreciate the magnificent vineyard landscapes and discover the "troglodytes"—traditional Loire Valley caves carved into the limestone. This tour is suitable for both beginners and wine enthusiasts.

Later, you'll visit the cellar carved into the rock to learn more about winemaking, aging, and the traditional methods used to produce sparkling wines. Depending on the date of your visit, you may witness bottling, disgorging, labeling, or even the harvest, either by machine or by hand. Your experience will conclude with a guided tasting of six wines from the Alain Robert Vineyard, including wines from the Vouvray, Touraine, and Loire appellations.

The tasting will be accompanied by local delicacies (Loire fish rillettes, various local cheeses and charcuterie, and a local dessert), allowing you to learn about local food and wine pairings. During this tasting, you will have the chance to sample all the colors and styles of wine—sparkling, rosé, red, dry, and sweet white.
