Vigneti Vallorani

Winery in Piceno

About the Winery

Vigneti Vallorani, established in 1963 by Livio Vallorani and Filomena Fazzini, is now managed by their grandsons, Rocco and Stefano Vallorani. Located in the picturesque hills of the Piceno region, our estate spans 8 hectares, with 7 dedicated to vineyards and 1 to olive groves. We are committed to cultivating only indigenous Piceno grape varieties, following the principles of organic farming. Every task in our vineyards is performed manually, from tending the vines to harvesting and selecting the grapes, ensuring the utmost care and quality in our produce. Our recently renovated winery is designed with sustainability in mind, powered by a dedicated photovoltaic system and constructed to minimize environmental impact. The production and aging areas have been carefully developed to preserve the integrity of our grapes throughout the winemaking process. With an annual production of approximately 20,000 bottles, Vigneti Vallorani offers wines that are entirely free from synthetic chemicals or animal-derived substances. Visitors to our winery can experience the rich heritage of Piceno viticulture, rooted in tradition and enhanced by our commitment to organic practices and environmental stewardship.

About the Wines

Vigneti Vallorani crafts a selection of exquisite wines that embody the authentic character of the Piceno region. Our Avora is a Falerio DOP Bio, a white wine aged on yeast lees, made from Pecorino, Passerina, and Trebbiano grapes, delivering a fresh and vibrant expression of these local varieties. Zaccarì is an Offida DOCG Passerina Bio, meticulously fermented and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, offering a complex and refined flavor profile. Lefric, a Marche Bianco IGP, blends Trebbiano and Malvasia, produced using ancient techniques to create a wine with a unique and traditional character. For red wine enthusiasts, we offer Polisia, a Piceno Superiore DOP aged on yeast lees, made from Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes, and Konè, another Piceno Superiore DOP aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, providing a deeper, more structured experience. Our Sorlivio is a Marche Rosso IGP, a pure Sangiovese aged for 22 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle, delivering a rich and powerful wine. Finally, Philumene, a Marche Rosso IGP made from Montepulciano, is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle, offering a bold and complex taste that reflects the dedication and craftsmanship of Vigneti Vallorani. Each of our wines is a testament to the organic and sustainable methods we uphold, showcasing the true essence of the Piceno terroir.

Hospitality and Expertise
A beautiful experience at Vigneti Vallorani. The owner welcomed us with affability and kindness, telling us the history of the vineyards and his family since the beginning of the business. He made us experience, both in the vineyard and during the tasting, a sensory journey into the taste of the wines, highlighting the various interesting differences and the respective stories that characterize them. The artistic connection of the bottle labels to the paintings displayed in the location was also very beautiful and interesting. We felt pampered and looked after with warmth and expertise. We will definitely return. Thank you Vigneti Vallorani.

Welcoming
A highly recommended experience.
Welcomed by the owner who immediately brought us into their family world.
Two hours flew by between tasting high-quality wines and sampling typical local products.

Great!
Super nice wine tasting and very helpful and friendly owner! We basically decided the night before that we wanted to do a tasting and booked through winedering, but due to the impeding bad weather and harvest that needed to be done, the timing was off. The owner, Rocco, contacted us immediately and fortunately it was possible to work out a better time. The tour itself was very nice and informative, and it was great to see a little of the vineyard. The tasting had a very wide selection of 8 wines, including orange wine (loved it!) and the olive oil was amazing as well. Would definitely recommend a tour with Rocco!

Thanks a lot for the wonderful review! It was really nice having you here and being able to chat, even with the tricky timing between harvest and the weather. I’m glad you enjoyed the visit and the wines (happy to hear the orange was such a hit ). Hope to see you back sometime, cheers!

Great wines and a great welcome
We were welcomed with great kindness and friendliness, the tour of the vineyard and cellar was interesting and educational, the two brothers who own the vineyard are very knowledgeable and are friendly people, passionate about their craft, they transmitted all their love for the territory, which we fell in love with. The tasting room is well-kept and has a spectacular view of the surrounding hills. The wines, one better than the next, perfectly paired with products from local businesses. Highly recommended.

Journey
The owner, Rocco, guided us on a journey starting from the whites to the reserve red, accompanied by bruschetta with their own estate-produced oil. The orange wine was the wine I appreciated the most.

Traditions
We were welcomed by the owner of the vineyard, the experience was very nice because the explanations were detailed but also understandable for those who are not in the business.
The stunning landscape, clearly visible from the tasting room.
The food of high quality, natural and genuine and, above all, very very good wine.
We were impressed by the use of still-traditional techniques like the hand-harvesting of the grapes.
