Vila Morgades

We are Maria and Carles, siblings dedicated to continuing our family’s long-standing tradition of producing cava at Vila Morgades. Nestled in the heart of the Penedès region, near Barcelona, our family has been cultivating vines and producing wines since the 18th century. Our commitment to quality and craftsmanship runs deep, and every step of the winemaking process—from tending the vineyards to cellaring—is done manually, ensuring our artisanal approach is reflected in every bottle. At Vila Morgades, we specialize in producing brut nature cava, which contains no added sugar, and our production is intentionally kept small to maintain the highest standards. One of the hallmarks of our cava is that each bottle is disgorged by hand, a testament to our dedication to traditional methods.

At Vila Morgades, we produce cava using the classic champenoise method with the region’s native grape varieties—Macabeu, Xarel·lo, and Parellada. We offer four distinct types of cava:

Young White: Fresh and vibrant, this cava showcases the purity of our grapes, perfect for those who enjoy crisp and lively sparkling wines.

Reserve White: Aged longer to develop greater complexity, our reserve white cava offers more depth and richness while maintaining its refreshing character.

Reserve Rosé: A beautifully crafted rosé cava, combining elegance and fruitiness with the finesse of a longer aging process, making it a standout choice for any occasion.

Grand Reserve: Produced in very limited quantities, our grand reserve cava represents the pinnacle of our production, with exceptional complexity and elegance achieved through extended aging.

All of our cavas are brut nature, ensuring a dry, clean finish that highlights the natural flavors of the grapes.
