You may have heard the word "aperitivo" from Italian friends, and this experience combines it with a fascinating look into the history of the Battle of Cassino. Join me for an interactive evening, where I'll serve a delicious finger food dinner made of local products. While you enjoy the food, I'll share unique historical insights, answer questions, and illustrate key points about the battle. Through maps, pictures, and original information, I'll guide you through a different perspective on the battlefield behind the Monastery of Monte Cassino, information that’s not easily found in traditional tourist itineraries.
Not only will you learn about history, but you will also have the opportunity to taste the exclusive "Gustav Wine." This wine, with a label I personally designed, is inspired by the vineyards I discovered while walking the paths around Monte Cassino. For those who don't drink alcohol, a variety of non-alcoholic beverages from the hotel bar will be available.
The aperitivo typically features a couple of glasses of wine, paired with local cheeses like marzoline, freshly baked bread or focaccia, and the traditional Ciociara sausage.
