Wine Tasting & Vineyard Walk with the Owner at Corte Cavolo in Valpantena
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience at Corte Cavolo begins in the salon of a recently renovated historic villa. Here, you'll meet the owner, Marcello, and step out onto the balcony overlooking the Valpantena valley as he introduces the story of Corte Cavolo.
From the villa, a short walk takes you directly into the estate's 2.5 hectares of vineyards. Marcello will guide you through the vines, explaining how the soil, grape varieties, and local biodiversity shape the wine. Lola, the family's dog, will often join you for the walk.
Next, you'll head down to the winery. Built in 2021 on the site of the original family cellar, this is where Marcello explains the winemaking process, from fermentation to aging in barrels. The experience concludes back in the salon for a guided tasting of five wines: a sparkling rosé, a white, a Valpolicella DOC, an Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, and a Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG.
The wines are paired with a selection of local cheeses and salami from producers in the Lessinia region, including Dalla Valentina, Gardun, and Bonomi. This creates a relaxed, conversational setting to learn more about the family's history in the valley, shared directly with the people who call Corte Cavolo home.
