Here is what's in store for you
Have you ever been curious about the process of creating Lambic through wild fermentation? You can now put your curiosity to rest by joining us at Kertemont Brewery for a beer tour and tasting.
Our tour takes you on a historical journey from the old Brewery Goossens, which was established in the 1700s and closed in the 1960s, to the current brewery, Kestemont. You will have the chance to explore the old brewery buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries and see how Lambic was made centuries ago.
The tour will then take you to our barrel rooms and current brew installation where we produce our own Lambic, which is 100% organic. We will explain the symbiosis between our brewing and farming operations and why we use different varieties of Italian fruit such as apricots, blood oranges, and grapes.
After the tour, you will have the opportunity to taste our Lambic, which is at least one year old, our Old Gueuze, which is a blend of different ages of Lambic, and a fruit Lambic. The fruit Lambic can be made from cherries, apricots, or other fruits, we are open to suggestions!
